Facts: Family: Araneidae Scientific name: Araneus diadematus Common name: Garden or Cross spider Big common, colourful spider found everywhere. Common in gardens. Builds big orb webs. If you look at the spider when it is facing the camera, the cross marking on the abdomen is easy to spot.
